A really good walk with the dogs.
A great walk along a concrete path from one car park to another. It’s 8km in total and very accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Apart from the odd sheep, it’s a great place to let the dogs off as they can run around in lots of open space.
There is a cafe at both ends which is always a bonus.
There are lots of bikes but generally everyone is very courteous.
Parking is £4 for 4 hours, and it’s cash, or contactless.
The downside is lots of dog poo…so watch out if your little ones run in the grass around the car park area especially.

Great place for a relaxing afternoon. Boat rides, cycling or just taking a relaxing walk around this huge park.
Play area for little ones and also great for picnics.
Parking was easy, but found it expensive.
Well maintained and clean.

Took grandkids for boat trip on the rutland belle. They had a quick go on exercise equipment before we had to go. Another site had aqua adventure park in the lake a school had hired it for the day. Worth a visit.

Fabulous! As it is 'first-come first-serve' on the day, we turned up at about 9 to book for 1.30pm that same day. Booked paddle boarding for 5 of us aged 7 to 30. Hired a few wetsuits. Had a fantastic time paddling and jumping in. There were some kayakers on hand to help the little ones back onto their boards so felt safe! Water was quite warm and clear.
Although they don't enforce this, I would definitely wear shoes as it ended in tears for the 7 year-old who got a massive thorn in their foot from the lake floor. First Aid were brilliant thought and patched him up!
Thoroughly recommend visiting here for the scenery, water sports and cafe!

Rutland waters have always been pleasurable getaway from everyday busy life. Calm beautiful lake with huge car park, cafés, public toilets and plenty of bins located convincingly everywhere. Can easily spend a nice day out with friends and family, on a good sunny day, you can even get a boat ride too. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the view of open landscapes and country side air. Always peaceful and quiet, it can get a little busy during summer times but plenty of space for everyone to relax.. Well maintained overall! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to just relax and get away for a day!

First time we came here and the prices are not what they shown on the internet. We hired a row boat (35£- 1h) and even my dog was allowed to climb in. With his cute tiny life vest. Its fairly expensive but for one time it's worth it.

Liked it, good escape for the kids. Enjoyed the place with my family. A water cruise, plenty of ground for kids to play and you can bring your own lounger/camp chair, table and barbecue stand to burn some coal! 😂.
